A whole week to celebrate children's books!Children's Book Week at Red Balloon

Started in 1919, Children's Book Week is a national literacy initiative to celebrate reading and books for young people. It begins the week after Independent Bookstore Day and is administered by the Children's Book Council and Every Child a Reader.

The Great Red Balloon Read-Aloud! Every day of Children's Book Week, we will also have daily afternoon storytimes at 4:30pm to read from Doreen Cronin's The Trouble with Chickens.
