Twin Cities IBD Passport! It's time again for the annual Twin Cities Independent Bookstore Day Passport! You'll have a full week to get your passport stamps to activate coupons—April 22 through April 29. At Red Balloon, you can get your passport stamped (or pick-up a passport!) during our usual hours, Tuesday - Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 12pm-5pm.
Patio Fun! Join us on our patio for bubbles, chalk art, and the chance to win prizes from our special treasure chest! This year, we'll also be featuring some of our booksellers' favorite reads throughout the store. Test your knowledge of who likes what by playing "Guess the Bookseller"!
12:30pm: Max Brallier with Drew Brockington, The Last Comics on Earth!
Red Balloon is so excited to welcome the one and only Max Brallier for his ultra-fun, full-color graphic novel series, The Last Comics on Earth! Max will be joined by CatStronauts creator, Drew Brockington for what's sure to be an event to remember.
In this new spin-off series starring the Last Kids on Earth, Jack, Quint, June, and Dirk are about to face a challenge unlike any they’ve faced before . . . At their local comic book store, the kids make a startling discovery: they’ve read every last issue of their favorite comic, Z-Man, and no new issues are coming...ever! (Thanks a lot, apocalypse.).
