Red Balloon is overjoyed to celebrate Anne Ursu's new middle grade novel, Not Quite A Ghost, along with Newbery award-winning author, Kelly Barnhill!

From the award-winning author of The Troubled Girls of Dragomir Academy comes an unforgettable and deeply personal story of the ghosts that surround us—and the ones we carry inside. Join Anne Ursu as she chats all about Not Quite A Ghost with special guest author, Kelly Barnhill (The Girl Who Drank the Moon)! Have your questions answered and celebrate middle grade literature with these two outstanding local authors. There will be special launch-day treats and a chance to have your books signed.

To attend: Space is limited, so a ticket is required to attend. You can register for a ticket through January 17, 4:00pm, and preorder the book below. Additional copies of Not Quite A Ghost will be available for purchase during the event.

Signing Guidelines: Following the event, Anne Ursu will sign and personalize copies of the book. If you would prefer not to stay for the signing portion, Red Balloon is happy to have your books signed and personalized for you and will contact you when they're ready to be picked up.

Anne Ursu is the author of the acclaimed novels The Troubled Girls of Dragomir AcademyThe Lost GirlBreadcrumbs, and The Real Boy, which was longlisted for the National Book Award. The recipient of a McKnight Fellowship Award in Children’s Literature, Anne lives in Minneapolis with her family and an ever-growing number of cats.

Kelly Barnhill lives in Minnesota with her husband and three children. She is the author of six novels, including The Girl Who Drank the Moon, winner of the 2017 John Newbery Medal. She is also the winner of the World Fantasy Award and has been a finalist for the Minnesota Book Award, a Nebula Award, and the PEN/USA literary prize.
