Calling all enemies-to-lovers fans! Red Balloon can't wait to celebrate Jenna Miller's newest young adult novel, We Got the Beat, along with guest authors, J.R. Dawson and Addie Wooldridge!
When journalist Jordan Elliot is assigned a feature story on her arch nemesis, Mackenzie West, she sees it as the perfect opportunity to get back at Mack for a past hurt that’s still simmering...but that’s not quite how the story unfolds. Jenna Miller will be joined by J.R. Dawson (The First Bright Thing) and Addie Woolridge (The Checklist) for a conversation about all things queer and writerly. Following the event, have your books signed and enjoy themed refreshments!

Jenna Miller (she/her) writes young adult books about fat, queer, nerdy girls who deserve to be seen and have their voices heard. Out of Character is her debut novel and is followed by We Got the Beat.
J.R. Dawson (she/they) can be seen in F&SF, The Year’s Best Science Fiction and Fantasy 2018, Lightspeed, and others. The First Bright Thing is her first novel.
