Gear up for the cold season with Red Balloon and join us in celebrating the release of One Winter Up North, the newest picture book by local illustrator John Owens!
Journey through the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness in this wordless picture book that features snowshoeing the frozen lakes and silent forest with family and encountering the wonders of northern life in the winter. John will chat with Red Balloon about the beautiful Boundary Waters, the process of making One Winter Up North, and winter fun! There will be time for audience questions, and following the talk guests can have their books signed by the author.
To Attend: Space is limited, so a ticket is required to attend this event. You can register for a ticket through September 28, 4:30pm, and pre-order a book below. Additional books will be available for purchase the night of the event. Face coverings are required of all guests for the duration of this event, and food and drink are not allowed. Red Balloon will have disposable masks on hand if you find yourself without.
Signing Guidelines: Following the talk, John will sign and personalize copies of his books. If you would prefer not to stay for the signing portion, Red Balloon is happy to have your books signed and personalized for you and will contact you when they're ready to be picked up.
