Jacqueline West is the author of the award-winning middle grade series The Books of Elsewhere. The first book, The Shadows, received several starred reviews, state award nominations, and was a New York Times bestseller. She has also written short fiction and has received honors for her poetry, including two Pushcart nominations, a Rhysling Award nomination, and a Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Prize. She lives in Red Wing, Minnesota, with her husband, son, and dog.
Pete Hautman is the author of Godless, which won the National Book Award, and many other critically acclaimed books for teens and adults, including Blank Confession, All-In, Rash, No Limit, Invisible, and Mr. Was, which was nominated for an Edgar Award by the Mystery Writers of America. With novelist, poet, and occasional co-author Mary Logue, Pete divides his time between Golden Valley, Minnesota, and Stockholm, Wisconsin.
Kirstin Cronn-Mills is a writer and teacher. Her novel Beautiful Music for Ugly Children won the 2014 Stonewall Award from the American Library Association, and several of her books have received both state and national recognition. She lives with her family and her goofball animals in southern Minnesota, which is entirely too far from Lake Superior.
Bryan Bliss is the author of three young adult novels, including We’ll Fly Away, which was longlisted for the National Book Award. He lives in St. Paul with his family.
