Red Balloon Bookshop is so excited to celebrate the recent release of The Girl I Am, Was, and Never Will Be, the stunning young adult novel by local author Shannon Gibney! To add to the fun, Shannon Gibney will be joined by special guest author, Sun Yung Shin!
Part memoir, part speculative fiction, The Girl I Am, Was, and Never Will Be explores the often surreal experience of growing up as a mixed-Black transracial adoptee. Join us for a special evening with the author and Sun Yung Shin as they chat all about the book and answer questions from the audience. After the event, guests will have the chance to have their books signed by Shannon!
To Attend: Space is limited, so a ticket is required to attend. You can register for a ticket through January 18, 4:30pm, and pre-order a book below. Additional books will be available for purchase the night of the event. Face coverings are preferred, but not required.
Signing Guidelines: Following the talk, Shannon Gibney will sign and personalize copies of the book. If you would prefer not to stay for the signing portion, Red Balloon is happy to have your books signed and personalized for you and will contact you when they're ready to be picked up.
