Red Balloon Bookshop is thrilled to celebrate the release of The Notebook Keeper, the stunning picture book by Stephen Briseño and local illustrator Magdalena Mora!
Based on true events, this inspiring story follows a mama and her daughter who are denied entry at the U.S. border and must find the refugee in charge of “the notebook,” an unofficial ledger of those waiting to cross into the U.S. Stephen Briseño and Magdalena Mora will be joining Red Balloon virtually to read a little from the book, chat about the making of The Notebook Keeper, and take time for questions from the audience!
To Attend: Use the link below to register for the event. Pre-registration is required! You can register for the event for free, select a bundle of a free ticket and book, or donate to help us keep events happening. All copies of books purchased for the event will include a signed bookplate by Stephen Briseño and may be personalized by Magdalena Mora. Registration ends at 5pm CDT on June 28. All registered attendees will be sent the link to join the party 48 hours before the event and on the evening of the event, after ticket sales have ended.
