Join the ultimate evening of magnificence, the YA Powerhouse Author Panel, with not two, not three, but FOUR bestselling, award-winning, and all-around-incredible authors: Laurie Halse Anderson (The Impossible Knife of Memory, Speak), Sarah Dessen (Saint Anything, The Truth About Forever), Jandy Nelson (I'll Give You the Sun, The Sky is Everywhere), and Ruta Sepetys (Out of the Easy, Between Shades of Grey)! This one-of-a-kind event is co-sponsored by Saint Paul Public Library and will be held on Monday, Nov 23, 7:00 pm at the Clarence W. Wigington Pavilion (Harriet Island Pavilion) in St Paul.
TICKET INFO: This event is free and open to the public, but a signing ticket is required to enter the signing line. You can get a signing ticket in one of two ways:
- Advance signing tickets may be obtained by purchasing any book written by Laurie Halse Anderson, Sarah Dessen, Jandy Nelson, or Ruta Sepetys from Red Balloon Bookshop. Discounts do not apply. Books can be purchased in-store or over the phone by calling 651-224-8320. See store hours. Tickets and books will also be available for purchase at the event, though advance purchase is recommended.
- Signing tickets will also be handed out at the door upon arrival at the event on Nov 23.
Book purchase is not required to obtain a signing ticket, however early signing tickets will be given to guests who purchase books (prior to the event) from Red Balloon Bookshop.
Advance tickets and books may be picked up at the store beginning Monday, Nov 9 through Sunday, Nov 22. Tickets and books will also be available at Will Call at Harriet Island Pavilion on Monday, Nov 23, beginning at 6:30 pm.
LOCATION DETAILS: This event is held at Clarence W. Wigington Pavilion (Harriet Island Pavilion) in St. Paul. Get Directions. Doors open at 6:30 pm; event starts at 7:00 pm.
SIGNING GUIDELINES: At the time of your ticket purchase, or upon your arrival at the event, you will be assigned a ticket number. This indicates your place in the signing line. Directly following the YA Powerhouse Author panel presentation and Q&A, signing groups will be called up to wait in line. Guests may have a total of 3 books signed and personalized by each author. These books may be brought from home or purchased from Red Balloon Bookshop, either in advance or at the event. Your support of Red Balloon Bookshop is appreciated. If time allows, ticket holders may have the chance to re-enter the signing line to have additional books signed.
PHOTOGRAPHY GUIDELINES: Photos are allowed and encouraged; however, due to time restrictions, photos with the authors may be limited to “unposed” photos only. A Red Balloon team member will be on hand to help take your photo.
CAN'T MAKE IT? If you'd like a personalized book but are unable to make the event, please call us at 651-224-8320 to pre-pay and we'll have one or more copies signed and reserved for you or shipped anywhere in the United States.
