2020 is a very different year, with most of us staying in more than usual. For parents, this can mean a strain to fill up the hours that would usually be taken up by classes, camps, vacations, and time with friends. For kids, this can mean a frustrating search for activities that are interesteing and engaging. As a literary organization, the Loft wants to help with these problems—with books! They've curated a list of picture book, middle grade, and young adult titles that are not only entertaining, but fodder for larger discussion. To facilitate those discussions, each blog post includes prewritten questions that readers can think about and activities that can be completed as a family.
Here are the books the Loft Family Book Club has recommended so far, with links to the respective blog posts.
